Radio Harawi is an online station — a radio alternative and an independent Spanish-language media project. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and solidarity between Latin America and its diaspora in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly within the Peruvian community abroad.

Behind Radio Harawi is a small and diverse team working collaboratively, driven by the desire to create independent, thoughtful, and respectful spaces for dialogue in service of culture, education, social justice, and human rights.

Through its programs, the Radio Harawi team seeks not only to celebrate cultural diversity but also to serve as a bridge connecting past and present generations — fostering intergenerational dialogue about the past and present of Latin America and the contemporary experience of its diaspora.

Now more than ever, we believe that independent media like ours must serve as platforms to resist the erasure fueled by disinformation — and to imagine, together, more just futures..
