Episode 6: Interview with Women Entrepreneurs

2025-08-29

During the period of political violence in Peru, many women—wives, sisters, and daughters—had to reinvent their lives and find new ways to support their households in the absence of their loved ones.

The disappearance and killing of so many heads of household affected not only the direct victims of the violence but also profoundly transformed the lives of their families, particularly the women who took on the responsibility of becoming their families’ primary providers.

In this episode, we speak with women who have come together in community spaces such as the Ayninchik Fair, where they share and sell their work, using creativity, entrepreneurship, and mutual support to sustain their families with dignity.
